Holidays: There are no deliveries on Holiday Mondays. On PD days, deliveries will be received as usual.

The SD46 Food in Schools Review Committee gathered student, family and staff input in 2022 which informed 2023 discussions and the decision to Pilot the Central Kitchen model

We provide a school centred service – with online food orders; weekly delivery; and onsite staff support to enable stigma-free food access for hungry students.

The Central Kitchen model grew out of a series of facilitated conversations with the SD46 Food in Schools Review Committee in Winter 2022-Spring 2023. Informed by data gathered in May-June 2022, Community Schools and SD46 supported a 2023 Pilot at 3 sites in Sechelt.

We listen closely to school staff to better understand their needs and challenges.

We learned alot working with staff and students at Davis Bay and Kinnikinnick Elementary, and SC Alternative School in Sechelt.

In Spring 2023 Halfmoon Bay and West Sechelt Elementary joined our breakfast and lunch top-up program.

We are pleased to welcome Cedar Grove, Roberts Creek Elementary and Chatelech Secondary to our program in Fall 2024.

Five StrongStart programs and SCAS Gibsons joined February 2025.
